Prerequisites
- The three levels are designed for elementary (K-3), middle (4-8), or high school (9-12) students.
- The elementary school course consists of two 40-minute sessions, the middle school course consists of three 55-minute sessions, and the high school course consists of four 55-minute sessions.
- Some embedded links are broken, but none are required for the lesson.
- In order to access these environmental justice teaching resources, you must "Add to Cart" and click "Proceed to Checkout," then fill in your name, email address, physical address, type of organization, number of students, name of organization, and phone number. Teachers should create an account with Canvas and EcoRise before ordering, as this course will automatically populate in your account once ordered.
- Click "Place Order."
- You should receive an email to enroll in the class on Canvas. Please note that this email may not go through. The best way to guarantee access is by creating an account first.
- Follow the instructions in the email to access the courses or open the course in your Courses tab.
Differentiation & Implementation
- Make sure to use the course designed for your appropriate grade band: elementary, middle, or high school students.
- Students at the edge of certain grade bands (such as 8th-grade students) may benefit from some materials in another grade band.
- You can print all student materials or download and share them digitally.
