Differentiation & Implementation
Civics, geography, and English teachers could use this lesson alongside the StC lesson A Look at Cancer Alley or this other environmental justice lesson. This lesson could be used to engage students in the topic before they conduct their own research to come up with explanations and identify solutions.
Project Look Sharp is a nonprofit, mission-driven outreach program of Ithaca College. Their mission is to help K-16 educators enhance students' critical thinking, metacognition, and civic engagement through media literacy materials and professional development.
