Dr. Ingrid Zabel works on making climate change science accessible to the public via exhibits at the Museum of the Earth and the Cayuga Nature Center, teacher resources, and education programs for youth and adults. She also curates an online portal for climate change resources in New York State: the
New York Climate Change Science Clearinghouse.
Dr. Zabel’s research background includes condensed matter physics, geophysics, remote sensing, and radar systems. She worked on modeling and field studies of sea ice and the Greenland ice sheet while at the Byrd Polar Research Center, and on surveillance radar at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
