Synopsis
- This resource from the United Nations is an interactive map of the videos created by students or featuring stories of youth activism that were included in the Youth Climate Report.
- Students will find videos ranging from 2 - 40 minutes about climate impacts and activism that have been compiled annually since 2008.
- The resource includes a range of short and amateur student reports, more artistic videos, and longer professional-quality productions.

Prerequisites
- Depending on the topic of the video, students may need background information about climate change, biodiversity, and fossil fuels.
Differentiation & Implementation
- Each video has a category alignment. Teachers can use videos to support lessons about impacts on Indigenous communities, pollution, wildfires, and a range of other climate-related topics.
- Students can use the resource as inspiration to create their own video project for impacts in their area or impacts that are important to them.
- Teachers can have students choose 2-3 short videos to watch, recording the title, filmmaker, and coordinates. Students can then summarize the video for the rest of the class, making notes about the artistic choices.
This resource offers hundreds of first hand accounts regarding climate change impacts from across the globe. We have randomly reviewed several of these videos and found them to be educational and informative. This resource is recommended for teaching.
