Synopsis
In this animated video, Michigan students will learn how they can earn money by taking back recyclables to the store.
Students will learn the importance of recycling, understand how to take recyclables back, and listen to the story of a boy who bought a bicycle by collecting recyclables.
The vibrant colors, songs, and use of humor in this video will keep students engaged and entertained.
This video will incentivize students to keep their recyclables out of the trash.
Prerequisites
Students should understand what recycling is.
Differentiation & Implementation
Students can create posters to encourage others to "Buy 'em, Drink 'em, Take 'em Back".
Teachers can organize a bottle and can collection to contribute to an incentive that the students choose.
To make math connections, students can calculate how many cans and bottles they would need to take back to save up for different items.
After watching the video, students can research the harmful effects of plastic pollution.
