Prerequisites
Students should understand what the ocean is. Some students may need help differentiating between oceans and other bodies of water, such as lakes and rivers.
Differentiation & Implementation
In high school classes, teachers can split students into groups, having each group research and teach about one of the Ocean Literacy Principles.
To make creative connections and demonstrate their understanding of the principles, students can create posters, infographics, or comic strips to illustrate each of the Ocean Literacy Principles.
