Maple Trees and Marmots

Synopsis
This role-playing game teaches young students how climate change affects animals and plants that are adapted to seasonal cycles.
In the K-2 activity, students collect tokens to simulate food in spring and summer and hibernate in fall and winter, and 3rd grade students will experience how a change in climate or habitat affects the plants and animals.
Though this lesson was created for students in British Columbia, students in other regions may also find this lesson relevant.
