This group of Earth Day resources provides writing prompts that stimulate social and emotional connections to nature, vocabulary cards with images, and art activities.
All resources are adjustable, downloadable, and easy to share online, making them a great choice for Earth Day or any other time of the year.
There are two versions of the writing prompts so that you can choose to either print them or view on a projected screen.
The vocabulary cards are colorful and informative.
You will need to make a copy of the Google Slides resources before opening them.
The art activities will need to be printed for use in the classroom, unless you choose to have students use them as a guide for drawing.
Art classes could use the images in the vocabulary cards or the art activities slides as inspiration or a reference for drawing, coloring, or painting.
Social studies and language arts classes could use the writing prompts for short writing assignments, discussion topics, or to make social-emotional connections to climate topics.
Biology classes can use the vocabulary cards to support lessons about ecology, ecosystems, climate change, or biodiversity.
Consider making a blank copy of the vocabulary cards to have students fill in, while working in groups. Then have them discuss one of the writing prompts and share their thoughts and opinions with the class.
