Synopsis

This resource consists of two math practice color-by-number worksheets featuring Earthly, a character from the ClimateScience picture book series.
One worksheet provides students with addition and subtraction practice, and the other provides students with multiplication practice.

Students who are already familiar with the Earthly picture books will enjoy coloring the character on the worksheets.
The worksheets provide a fun way to practice addition, subtraction, and multiplication and reinforce the importance of caring for the planet.

Additional Prerequisites

Teachers may want to read Saving Planet Earthly to the class before using these worksheets.
The first worksheet uses the word "multiplications" in the instructions, even though the practice problems are addition and subtraction problems.

Differentiation.

Students could make a list of the ways that humans have made things hard for Earthly and discuss solutions for keeping Earthly healthy.
Teachers could pair students together to solve the math problems. Stronger math students could assist students who need extra help.
