Prerequisites
- Teachers should check on students as they fill out the circle of support, as this activity may be uncomfortable for students struggling with close relationships.
- Depending on the age of the students, teachers may need to cut out the emergency contact cards ahead of time.

- Students can use this workbook to follow one of the Prepare with Pedro! e-books and work through difficult emotions.
- To demonstrate their learning, students can make videos to teach others how to work through difficult emotions.
- Teachers and students can work together to create a calm space in the classroom.
- Before working on the book, students can share what they like to do to calm down and process their emotions. Students can create pages for the workbook to add their favorite strategies.
Children will process going through emergencies in different ways. This fact and activity sheet is backed by science in how to help kids deal with those emotions. This resource is recommended for teaching.
